These two members of the Kliq put on a game changing ladder match at WrestleMania X, so putting on another bout under the same conditions risked diminishing returns. Instead, their second dance builds on, and subverts what we saw last time around, and with the benefit of a molten hot crowd and a well deserved win for Shawn Michaels, this was a gimmick worth repeating.

They wisely delay the gratification of the ladder for a decent while, instead demonstrating just how well the two know each other - Ramon dodges a quick superkick, then Michaels wriggles out of the Razor’s Edge.

When the ladder comes into play, they tease some of the spots from the prior match - Ramon is wise to HBK’s baseball slide into the steel, and Michaels misses a splash that he memorably hit at ‘Mania.

A second ladder makes its way to the ring, the crowd exploding as the two duel way up high. Michaels takes a couple of weird bumps towards the end as he’s trying to snatch the suspended Intercontinental belt that don’t look planned, but in the end his hard work pays off.
