The Many Faces Of CM Punk Ranked - From Worst To Best

3. Best In The World

CM Punk Best In The World
WWE

CM Punk is the man who owns the longest single WWE Championship reign in modern history. His incredible 434 day reign saw him take on all comers, defeating men such as Daniel Bryan, Ryback, John Cena, Chris Jericho, and others in order to truly establish himself as the 'Best in the World'. It was this moniker that Punk used to refer to himself during this time.

Was Punk the best in the world? It doesn't matter, because no such thing truly exists in professional wrestling. His character at the time was truly sublime however, taking the anti-authority vibes of the Summer of Punk and tweaking it to so-fit a man on top of his profession, fighting underneath from on top if you will.

Punk carried himself as a true star at this point, a man with everything in his hands but still with everything to prove. There was a chip on the shoulder, but that chip was accompanied by the confidence one gets from holding the richest prize in the game. This was the most confident CM Punk of them all. He probably was the 'best in the world' after all.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
