The Many Faces Of Jon Moxley - Ranked From Worst To Best

9. 'Comedic' Dean Ambrose (WWE)

Dean Ambrose Mitch Plant

Years earlier, fans were the ones who opted out.

WWE's non-stop need to book comedy in the least fitting places meant Deano feuded in violent matches (the 'Ambrose Asylum') with Chris Jericho whilst simultaneously carrying around a potted plant named "Mitch". Who in the good name of indoor foliage thought this was a good idea?

It was clear what the company were trying to do here - they were attempting to give Ambrose the same kind of whimsical charm that Mick Foley's Mankind character had during the 'Attitude' era. Unfortunately for everyone, including the fans, Dean just sort of came across as a disinterested wisecracker.

His jokes weren't funny either. They were the lamest Cards Of Humanity-esque gags if toned down for a pre-teen audience; just imagine that! It'd be hellish. It was hellish. 'Comedic' Ambrose fell flat, and this unwanted horseplay stripped all credibility away from his hardcore brawling style.
