The Many Faces Of Jon Moxley - Ranked From Worst To Best

8. The Shield 2.0 (WWE)

It doesn't take a genius to point out that The Shield's second run was nowhere near as cool as the first. The law of diminishing returns was in full effect when Ambrose, who'd been agonising over the decision for weeks, finally decided to throw his fist in there with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in March 2019.

WWE had been playing about with on/off Shield reunions since 2017.

The eventual make-up session was as illogical as they come. Ambrose had attacked Rollins in October 2018 (leading to that dismal 'Germaphobe' stuff discussed earlier) and made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with the gimmick ever again. Then, magically, the return of Reigns changed his mind.

Fans did respond to the comeback, but it was never built to last. Dean blatantly wasn't happy in the company anymore, and it was only a matter of time before he decided to up sticks and leave for pastures new.
