Shawn Michaels is generally regarded as being ‘Mr WrestleMania’, but a solid argument could be made for 'Taker filling that role over the last ten years. Okay, not quite the entire decade, but from WrestleMania XXIV all the way up to the ending of The Streak, he made a compelling case for the Show of Shows MVP award.

It was during this time that Taker began to take a step back when it came to the week-by-week world of the WWE. By the time his match with Triple H came around at WrestleMania XXVII, Taker was as part time as it got. He would show up around February time, someone would challenge him to a match at WrestleMania, and there we go.

Is this ranking too high? Maybe it is, but it was during this time that the ‘Undertaker at WrestleMania’ aura truly took off, and that was an aura that arguably became the most prestigious prize in professional wrestling.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
