The Most BRUTAL Wrestling Match You've Never Seen Before

Samoa Joe Necro Butcher
IWA-MS

It ends, finally and mercifully, when Joe withstands Necro's last-ditch punch barrage and attempts to knee a hole in his face. The lunges are as horrible as anything else. It's like Joe wants to turn Necro's face into mush when he was already quite successful at it. When his thigh connects with Necro's face, every millimetre of it is soaked, instantly, in blood. Joe then aims one last full-on kick to the bridge of Necro's nose. It's over. You feel exhilarated, disgusted.

The head trauma endured in the match is sobering, when you look at the absolute state of Dylan Summers today. This match in isolation didn't do that to him, but it hardly helped. Joe meanwhile was lionised in the aftermath.

A match perfect for the crowd, a match that makes you feel something at a bone-deep level, a match that in every conceivable way is a triumph and a disgrace, Samoa Joe Vs. Necro Butcher is the very concepts of right and wrong smashing one another, turning bones and blood into jam. It is the concept of professional wrestling done so well or so horribly - or so well and so horribly - that the medium has never before or since been pushed to such an absolute limit.

It is a match that should not ever be attempted again, which is just as well: nobody else could.
