The REAL Reason The Revival Just Won WWE Raw Tag Team Titles

AEW The Revival Young Bucks
All Elite Wrestling

Becky Lynch will end up back in the WrestleMania 35 main event because even WWE aren't daft enough to neglect 'The Man's momentum peaking on 'The Grandest Stage'. The PR alone as she lights up Good Morning America with her era-defining t-shirt and newly-won prize will service them for decades. The Revival's Tag Team Title win couldn't be less profound in comparison, but it's what this victory means right now rather than 24 hours after the 'Show Of Shows' that carries hidden significance.

Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks haven't asked fans to speculate about Monday Night War-esque talent trades since launching All Elite Wrestling earlier this year, but they've tacitly traded on discussions all the same. "Telephone, telegram, tell-a-wrestler" was the old idiom for how quickly gossip spread amongst dressing rooms, but thanks to plenty of them quietly telling a Meltzer, the fanbase has been permitted to fantasise about everybody from Rusev to Randy Orton dropping in on Kenny Omega and co when the crew attempt to "Change The Universe" starting from May.

If 2018 ended with WWE trying to use 'Global Localisation' to put a thumb on talent movement across the fertile wrestling landscape, 2019's started with a veritable arms race. Jeff Jarrett and The Hurricane were hired over Royal Rumble weekend as producers - valuable assets for any organisation in those roles for sure, but was this as much an effort by WWE to remain wrestling gatekeepers as it was getting two more elder statesmen on the books?

The most recent edition of Being The Elite featured the continued development of upstart heel MJF, head coach Billy Gunn and IRL 'Best Bout Machine' Kenny Omega. Double Or Nothing will sell out in much the same way ALL IN did, but AEW want as full a house behind the scenes as they did out front last year in Chicago.

The new Raw Tag Team Champions - for entirely different reasons - suddenly became in demand again.
