The Rock: Every Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

24. Doom (2005)

Doom Dwayne Johnson
Universal

This much-anticipated adaptation of the classic video game sadly fails to make the most of its R rating, delivering a disappointingly silly action flick, stranding Johnson, Karl Urban and Rosamund Pike in the process.

There's one memorable sequence in this film: a surprisingly well-executed first-person shooter scene that actually nails the look and feel of the games.

For the most part, though, it's trash (if knowingly so), and while Johnson is certainly well-cast as Sarge, it's always felt like a majorly missed opportunity not to cast him as Doom Guy.

There are fun moments, but the worst sin this film committed was bombing at the box office, such that no movie studio will want to try another Doom movie for quite some time. Boo.
