30. Baywatch (2017)

Though Johnson is superbly cast as a rebooted version of David Hasselhoff's Mitch Buchanan character, the new Baywatch movie was for the most part a disappointing failure.

Clearly attempting to replicate the success of the recent 21 Jump Street movies, Baywatch nevertheless fails to make the most of its R rating with a total lack of nudity, both male and female, an incredibly hit-and-miss gag rate, and a woefully tedious plot, whether it's aware of it or not.

The cast is clearly trying, especially Johnson and Zac Efron, and while their chemistry is good for a few laughs, it's far too long, and the numerous action sequences are hampered by some horrendous CGI. Critically mauled and a box office disappointment, this wasn't the franchise-starter Johnson was counting on, clearly.
