The Rock's 10 Best WWE Moments

6. This Is Your Life

Bet you thought this one would be at the top of the list, huh? Yeah, sorry, as much love as the Attitude Era's "Crash TV" style receives, this segment is a bit overly long, and the dated jokes start to wear out well before the event comes to an end. Still, it’s hard to argue its place in history, as one of the most memorable and most-watched segments in wresting history, pulling a staggering 8.4 rating.

Mankind, Rock’s dull but well-intended best friend, threw him a surprise version of the classic show This is Your Life, meant to be a celebration of the past that lead to the Rock’s greatness. Ever brash and cocksure, his tag team partner was having precisely none of it. The Rock proceeded to tear apart every surprise guest, from his Home Economics teacher failing him because of his singular desire to make pancakes (remember that the next time someone rags on The New Day), to his high-school sweetheart being booed mercilessly by the crowd as the Rock lamented the time she cut him off at Second Base. The Attitude Era was truly a magical time.

Mankind pulled out all the stops, even getting a returning Yurple the Clown to sing “Happy Birthday” to the Rock when it was decidedly not. This segment, though it may not have aged as gracefully as many recall, is absolutely history-making, and highlighted the magic between Foley and the People’s Champ. If only Rocky could show a little appreciation!
