The Undertaker: 10 Awesome Backstage Stories

9. The Firing Firing

'Taker is a real pro, and it seems genuinely difficult to get any sort of unplanned reaction out of him. Many have actively attempted to make the man laugh on the house show circuit, only to receive nothing but that cold Deadman stare.

There are a small number of times that you can gain a passing glimpse of any emotion from 'Taker. One occasion in which you could see some real human reaction emanating from him would be that time someone set him on fire.

The 2010 Elimination Chamber saw Undertaker do his traditional slow walk along a ramp of fireballs, only to catch a direct hit from one such pyro pile. 'Taker received a mixture of second- and third-degree burns, but carried on with the match because he's a f*cking pro.

After the match, 'Taker had a chat with Vince McMahon, demanding the pyro engineer controlling the offending effects be fired – for his own good. Now, it may seem somewhat harsh throwing your weight around to get a person fired for one mistake, but in Undertaker's defence, he was just set on fire.
