The Undertaker's 10 Best Non-WrestleMania Matches
1. Vs. Shawn Michaels (Badd Blood 1997)
The first ever Hell in a Cell match and, to this day, still the best.
After special guest referee Shawn Michaels accidentally cost Undertaker the WWE title at Summerslam 1997, when his chair shot intended for Bret Hart hit 'The Deadman' instead, the two became locked in a feud which led to this cage match with a twist.
As shown by their classic WrestleMania 25 and 26 showdowns in later years, HBK and Taker have always had incredible chemistry in the ring and 1997 saw the two in their physical prime and at the top of their game. The two told a great story of Michaels constantly trying to run away from his larger foe, and the two battled all over the Cell, outside and on the top.
In the end, a bloodied HBK looked beaten until the lights went out and a debuting Kane appeared to attack Taker and hand Michaels the win. A classic match and a classic debut wrapped up in one tidy package.
