The matches between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XXV and XXVI are arguably two of the best in the history of the Show of Shows. Well, I say 'arguably' but it isn't up for debate is it? They are universally regarded as two of the best examples of professional wrestling, and the second one proved to be the end of the road for the Showstopper, the Heartbreak Kid, Mr. WrestleMania himself.

The night after WMXXVI, Michaels took to the ring to say his goodbyes to the fans, the boys and the sport itself. Before his speech could begin however a familiar tune played, and out strode our favourite Dead Bloke.

A man of little words, Taker bowed his head, tipped his hat, and went off on his merry way. A profound show of respect between two of the greatest performers in the history of professional wrestling.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
