The Brothers of Destruction were a force to be reckoned with in the early ‘00s.

Kane had set the record for most eliminations in a Royal Rumble bout, and Undertaker had bested Triple H at Wrestlemania before setting his sights on WWE Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin. Soon, a match was set for Backlash 2001 that saw the WWE Championship on the line - as well as HHH’s Intercontinental Championship and the Tag Team Titles, held by Kane and The Undertaker.

The star power in the match is plain to see and if you like your main events to have high stakes, look no further. As the match began to unfold, after a well-paced start, The Two Man Power Trip isolated Kane, judging him to be the weaker Brother of Destruction.

Classic tag team shenanigans followed with blind tags, missed tags and legal man confusion before interference from Vince and Stephanie McMahon saw The Two Man Power Trip leave with all the gold.

The hot crowd, great psychology and talent of all involved help make this an underrated gem that is more than worth another watch.
