The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio already had an unusually violent match at 2010's Royal Rumble - in which the Master of the 619 left 'Taker bloodied after kneeing him in the nose - so it was a little risky putting the two superstars together again later that year.

Unfortunately, when they did reunite in the ring during that No. 1 Contender's Match, something similar happened... except this time, it was much worse.

During Mysterio's patented senton spot, he landed on 'Taker's face so hard that he ended up breaking 'The Deadman's nose, giving him a concussion and breaking his orbital bone. Though 'Taker recently admitted that he had to reset his nose during the match, the legend incredibly managed to power through to the end.

However, with surgery required, he had to take a few months off and, upon reflection, this was really what marked the beginning of the end of his full-time in-ring career.
