The reboot of the series, in 2011, was successful, but thus far it's been people who didn't actually win the competition - The Miz and Ryback - who have done the most in WWE. Maven, the male winner of the first series of the show in 2001, didn't fare quite as well as the men listed above, and was eventually released in 2005. Sure, the guy won the Hardcore Title on three separate occasions, but that was as close as he came to reaching the top, if you don't count the shocking events of the 2002 Royal Rumble. The Undertaker was ruling the roost in the match, eliminating The Hardy Boys in quick succession, all before Maven was unveiled as entrant number 11. Most people felt the guy would simply be cannon fodder for his superior, but that didn't happen. After Lita and The Hardys caused distractions, Maven nailed a dropkick from behind on 'Taker, sending him spilling over the ropes. This particular Rumble elimination has been played over and over, but it didn't really serve much other than as a random surprise moment, and certainly didn't help The Undertaker.
