Occasionally, as far back as the Attitude Era, The Undertaker and The Big Show have been tag-team partners. It seems there's something ultra-appealing about the duo for the creative team, who have also enjoyed casting the pair as rivals over the years. In late-2008, The Undertaker was locked in a feud with Vickie Guerrero, the on/off General Manager of Smackdown. Guerrero, then associated with Edge, had earlier in the year made life pretty difficult for 'Taker, even going so far as to ban moves. In one of the most memorable moments on the blue brand, The Undertaker hit Vickie with a Tombstone Piledriver, something which angered her new love interest, The Big Show. It was a bit sudden, and seemed a thinly-veiled excuse to put the two big guys against one another, but they ended up having a surprisingly good series of matches. Big Show would pick up the win over his foe at No Mercy in October, 2008, which was a pretty surprising result. The next month, at Survivor Series, 'Taker would vanquish Big Show in a Casket Match, but the whole feud felt a little light on reasons why it was actually taking place, and the defeat didn't really do a lot for Undertaker going forward. Why the spot wasn't given to someone younger on the roster, who could benefit from a win over such a legend, is baffling.
