The Undertaker's 10 Most Incredibly Cheesy WWE Moments
10. Ministry Of Darkness
The Undertakers turn to the dark arts in late 1998 was supposed to remake the character into an evil overlord with mystic powers, almost like a religious cult leader. He tried to embalm Stone Cold Steve Austin, crucified him, tried to forcefully marry Stephanie McMahon and brainwashed/indoctrinated wrestlers to join the Ministry of Darkness. While a lot of it was pretty intense at the time, in hindsight, it really comes across as hokey, especially in pro wrestling. A dark lord? A higher power? Acolytes? Crucifixions? Hanging the Big Boss Man? While it all might be dark, its something out of a bad B-movie. Theres good reason why you dont see the Ministry referenced or remembered often when WWE looks back to the Attitude Era. It wasnt really a high point.
