When 'Taker began referring his legions of supporters as 'Creatures of the Night', nobody thought he'd actually go and become one. But that's exactly what he did when he unveiled his transformation into the Lord of Darkness to the world at the 1996 Survivor Series.
Responding to be being buried in the ground by Mankind and Paul Bearer, The Phenom descended from the skies as if he were Gotham City's winged protector, ready to drop in and put things right. In a way, that's exactly what he was as WWE's Grim Reaper of Justice exacted revenge on Mankind with what was arguably his first truly decisive victory over the unhinged superstar.
It was very theatrical, but 'Taker's Batman entrance has gone down in history as an unforgettable introduction to the Lord of Darkness and it looked extra badass because he was dressed in all-black black leather for the first time in his career.
