The Undertaker's 20 Best Matches Ever

14. Vs. Edge (WrestleMania XXIV)

Undertaker, Edge, WrestleMania XXIV

What a thrill it must have been for Edge to stand across the ring from The Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania XXIV. It wasn't going to be easy for either man to top the emotional Ric Flair retirement angle that had happened earlier in the show, or even the controversial Floyd Mayweather vs. Big Show brawl.

Edge and 'Taker didn't do anything drastic, they simply wrestled their own match and slowly lured fans in with a story centred around the Canadian's desperation. Interference from The Edgeheads hinted at a screw job finish, but this was to be Undertaker's night. Fending off Edge's back up, he then pinned the World Champ to bag the belt for himself.

Aside from the run-ins, Edge and 'Taker didn't use many shortcuts. This was 24 minutes of solid wrestling that culminated in a popular babyface win and massive title change everyone in attendance lapped up. They'd go on to use bigger gimmicks, but don't let that discount your enjoyment of the 'Mania XXIV headliner.
