The Undertaker's 23 WrestleMania Matches - From Worst To Best

17. Sycho Sid (WrestleMania 13)

WrestleMania 13 was an interesting one in that the marquee matches changed so often due to the waffling of Shawn Michaels that somehow, some way, Sycho Sid defending the WWE Championship against The Undertaker actually wound up headlining the show. Think about that for a moment. That was the match Vince McMahon deemed worthy of the marquee spot on his most precious event. Thankfully, no one expected a classic. Neither guy was thought of as a particularly great wrestler at that point, and both relied on the typical kick/punch offense that most heavyweights favoured at the time. What was surprising, though, was that someone gave two workers with such limited move sets 21 minutes for their match. The result was an incredibly slow match that the fans in Chicago probably dozed off in the middle of, before Bret Hart made his way to the ring and created Sid's downfall, courtesy of a Tombstone piledriver. Undertaker won his first WWE Championship in six years that night, a reward for the hard work and dedication he had demonstrated during that period. A locker room leader and one of the faces of the company, he had more than earned it. It is a shame, though, that it did not come in a significantly better match.
