The Undertaker's 7 WrestleMania Victims Who Never Recovered

3. Sycho Sid - WrestleMania 13

Few superstars bounced between the WWF and WCW with as much frequency as 'Sycho' Sid Eudy, a prized asset for his incredible size and maniacal appearance. His WrestleMania match with Undertaker came during his second stint, at a time in which Sid was actually the WWF Champion. Historically, a championship programme with 'Taker is regarded as a good sign for a wrestler's career, even if they lose the belt. It typically signifies their relevance and stature in the promotion, signalling a successful future. Unfortunately for Sid, he must be regarded as the glaring exception. After losing the match (in part due to Bret Hart's interference) Sid suffered a neck injury, leaving the WWF to recover just a few months after main eventing the biggest show of the year. He wound up in WCW two years later, winning the championship twice in his time there - although this success very much came during the final death throes of the promotion, and pales in comparison to his WWF triumphs. In 2001, Sid horrifically broke his leg after being encouraged to attempt a leaping big boot from the second turnbuckle. He would later sue WCW for making him attempt such a manoeuvre against his will.
