The Undertaker's 7 WrestleMania Victims Who Never Recovered
2. CM Punk - WrestleMania 29
CM Punk's match with the Undertaker at WrestleMania 29 was heralded as the best match on the show, but proved to be a key reason for the Straight Edge Superstar's eventual departure from the company in 2014. Disgruntled at being shoehorned out of the main event scene - in favour of the second successive Cena vs Rock 'Mania programme - he became increasingly disillusioned with life in the WWE throughout the remainder of 2013. Although the match itself was fantastic, it marked the last great period of Punk's wrestling career. His remaining feuds with Jericho and Lesnar were certainly above average, but clearly lacked the passion and excitement he had already proven himself capable of inspiring. Punk has since revealed in his podcast that he walked out of the company and was eventually fired on his wedding day. He has since branched out into a number of ventures, most notably comic book writing and training for an eventual debut in the UFC.
