The Undertaker's WWE Career: 9 Ups & 5 Downs
6. Longevity
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson once said that nobody has performed at such a high level for such a significant period of time in the way that The Undertaker has. John 'Bradshaw' Layfield spoke on commentary about how it was 'literally phenomenal' that one man could compete for so long and 'still be going strong'. It's a feat that sounds almost impossible, but 'The Deadman' made it possible.
This man regularly performed to an incredibly high standard throughout the first two decades of his career (before going part-time in the third one). He's been part of WWE for all of its major eras and has pretty much been sewn into the fabric at this point. No matter how long you've been into wrestling, you know of the almighty Undertaker - not as a figure from a time before yours but as a haunting spectre that could make his presence felt at any given moment. That in itself is a testament to 'The Phenom's ability to remain relevant.
For three decades, he has been at the top of the WWE food chain and this kind of longevity is completely unparalleled. It's a lengthy career that, like The Undertaker himself, is simply one of a kind.
