The Undertaker's WWE Career: 9 Ups & 5 Downs

2. Ending The Streak

The moment in which Brock Lesnar snapped The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania XXX will go down in history as one of the few where it genuinely felt like time stood still.

It's an incredible moment, yes, but it's also an incredibly divisive one - and not necessarily one that feels like it ever needed to happen - especially now that we know 'Taker was supposed to go over until Vince randomly changed his mind on the day of the show.

It was a moment that broke a little bit of 'Taker's aura and the fact that he continued to compete for six years after the Streak's loss rendered it completely unnecessary, but not quite as unnecessary as the rub it gave to Brock Lesnar when 'The Beast' already had an awe-inspiring reputation. And it seems WWE realised that a little too late and the cheap attempt to recreate the moment with Roman Reigns three years later is proof of that.

Maybe Roman should have beaten him the first time, or better yet, maybe 'Taker should have retired with The Streak intact.
