Relatively fresh off his return to his 'Deadman' persona, 'Taker resumed his quest for the WWE Championship - a quest that led to JBL. However, while the pair were part of one of 2004's most enjoyable long-running storylines, their first one-on-one contest wasn't exactly a show-stopper.

A long drawn-out big-man fight that was rather light on the brawling, it was clear that the-powers-that-be were determined to book JBL strong, but this ended up hurting the flow of the match as it leaned in his direction a little more than it needed to.

Furthermore, the DQ finish felt a little too far-fetched because, considering how much he wanted the championship, and the fact that he's the freakin' Undertaker, it was hard to buy that 'Taker would resort to hitting JBL with the gold - especially when he didn't introduce the belt in the first place.

All that aside, the post-match Chokeslam through the limo was amazing, and did a great job of reinforcing that things between these two were far from over.
