The WORST Moment From Every WWE WrestleMania

22. MSG Trolls Wantaway Stars (WrestleMania XX)

Brock Lesnar Goldberg WrestleMania XX
WWE

This was plain mortifying.

Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg was a big time bout that WWE badly wanted to shout about in 2004, but they couldn't. Not really. The match was marred by the fact that New York's savvy masses caught wind of the pair planning to flee the company as soon as WrestleMania XX was yesterday's news. So, Madison Square Garden let Brock and bill have it.

One of the most switched on markets available to Vince McMahon's outfit rejected a crunch clash on the biggest show of '04. They just flat out didn't want to know about Goldberg vs. Lesnar. Meanwhile, special guest ref Steve Austin wore a knowing look as he grinned and soaked up acclaim.

Brock and Bill would improve on this tenfold in 2016 and 2017, but they had to struggle through 13+ minutes of unwanted sequences as MSG thrust 20,000 middle fingers right in their faces. 'Stone Cold' seemed to find it hard to stifle his laughter. It's just as well he did, because Brock could've gone UFC on him had he burst out into a fit of the giggles.

This was not a pleasant experience for Lesnar or Goldberg, to say the least. Some folks bring up Ultimo Dragon's embarrassing slip during his entrance on the same card, but that can't come close to the scathing humiliation 2 heavyweights experienced before calling time on their WWE careers (for now).

Brock and Bill couldn't wait to get the hell out of the Garden, into their limos, back to their hotels and onto pastures new. They'd just lived one of the most public and widespread rejections known to man.
