The WORST Moment From Every WWE WrestleMania

15. Michael Cole Gets Too Much Time (WrestleMania XXVII)

Even Michael Cole has poked holes in WWE giving him so much time at 'Mania XXVII.

The then-heel commentator and Jerry Lawler went 13:48 in their match, but the whole segment was 20+ minutes when including entrances and shenanigans. Steve Austin and Jack Swagger were involved in proceedings too, but even the box office swagger of 'Stone Cold' couldn't offset the fact that this was Mikey Cole in an orange singlet hoovering up plenty of ring time on the biggest show of 2010.

Incredibly, WWE decided that 2 announcers should get more minutes inside the squared circle than guys like Edge, Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio, Trish Stratus and more. Even more unbelievably, Cole vs. Lawler was just a minute shorter than Randy Orton vs. CM Punk, and only a few mins less than than John Cena vs. The Miz in the main event slot.

To his credit, Cole did his best to ham it up for the fans, and Lawler was clearly loving every second. This was Jerry's first actual match at WrestleMania. Sure, it was against a non-wrestler, but the 'King' had to be buzzing inside anyway. That doesn't mean he needed to be out there for longer than some full-timers, right enough.

Despite his best efforts (he was only following instructions), Cole's heel commentator gimmick had become insufferable on WWE television. He trolled babyfaces, literally called segments/matches boring etc. It all seemed counterproductive, but putting him inside the ring for as long as they did was the worst moment of his heel run by a mile.

Previously, this same writer has defended it. Then, he sat through the WrestleMania match again!
