The WORST Moment From Every WWE WrestleMania
2. The Usos Work A Superkick Stinker (WrestleMania 40)
Jey vs. Jimmy Uso was hyped up as a must see showdown between brothers who’d been one of the best tags of their generation. Going in, WWE tricked people into thinking they were going to see a classic. Unfortunately, like several other brother vs. brother showdowns (Matt vs. Jeff Hardy, Rick vs. Scott Steiner) it sucked.
The Usos nonsensically laced the match with an endless supply of superkicks, and so 11 minutes felt like 111 by the time they'd wrapped things up. That previous sentence kinda downplays the amount of superkick action there was, by the way - at times, this was like a love note to The Young Bucks, but both men's legs got lower and lower as the match dragged.
If this was a dress rehearsal for Jey's eventual singles push and main event run, then it wasn't a good one. In retrospect, it blew the doors open on his biggest flaws when working solo as opposed to in a tag setting. Fans would become far too accustomed to some of Uso's sloppiest moments once he won the 2025 Royal Rumble and entered the hunt for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Some plans are better in theory than in execution, and this was one of them. It'll be hard not to fear for the next sibling vs. sibling match in the future, if that happens to land on Triple H's lap. If so, then please tack on a gimmick so there are plenty of run-ins and maybe some crowd brawling to keep things interesting.
Also, no superkicks allowed. New rule.
