Back to Dax before looking forward to what might be getting prepared between the wrestlers in the background.

Speaking again on his podcast in early February, Harwood said;

“They [Edge & Christian] won’t mind me saying this but this is more possible than a lot of people might think. Me and Cash, FTR against Edge and Christian. That’s a tag team match I would absolutely love to have. Those two guys are two of the best storytellers in the ring. I don’t think that’s an overstatement or overrating them, I think a lot of people see that as well. They’re incredible storytellers...I think they led a generation...one of the leaders of a generation of tag teams and I would like to think humbly speaking (FTR is) one of the leaders of a generation of tag teams so that would be number two.”

A lovely gesture from one doubles legend to another, but it happened to land in the discourse just days before Christian Cage made his unannounced return to television on AEW Dynamite and ahead of Edge's aforementioned swing through Ottawa. Cage arrived in 2021, but the nature of his deal was unknown beyond speculation that it might be a boilerplate three years. 2024 is less that 12 months from now, and 'Captain Charisma' was more than happy to give his shock in-ring return to WWE at the Royal Rumble before settling more permanently in Jacksonville. Edge told Toronto fans last summer his next swing through the city might his last. But was that forever, or just for WWE?

All four in the conversation, all four with their short and longterm futures in mind. And all four in need of a destination to pull off a inter-generational dream match.
