Both Matt and Nick Jackson think it's "cool" that ex-AEW alumni Cody Rhodes is now "the face of WWE". The Young Bucks say they'll "always have a lifetime bond" with Cody because creating All Elite Wrestling alongside Tony Khan was something they "did for wrestling".

The Bucks told Sports Illustrated that they actually feel closer than ever to Cody despite his decision to leave AEW almost two years ago for another crack at WWE success. On that, Nick said: "We talk every week, and in a weird way him leaving made us grow more as friends".

Some wrestling fans would prefer to believe there's significant heat on both sides, but AEW's EVPs say that simply isn't the case. "We're all rooting for each other", Matt added.

There's no denying that Rhodes made the right call by trying his luck in WWE again in 2022. He's currently expected to dethrone Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 and become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Further, Cody is also one of the company's top merchandise sellers.

The Bucks are delighted for him, and happy their friendship has remained intact.
