What on earth is going on with Nikki Cross in WWE?
In the wake of finally dropping her 'Almost a Superhero' schtick and reverting back to her nutty character of old, the former Raw Women's Champion competed in 2022's WarGames bout, (almost) binned the 24/7 title, and proceeded to stalk Candice LeRae.
Then... nothing.
Well, that's not entirely true. WWE has still occasionally used the talented wrestler on Monday nights. But with the company seemingly not having any obvious plan for the kooky gimmick, they've just resorted to dumping the star out there with a blank expression slapped on her mug for a few months.
Easily the most embarrassing moment of this chapter in the Cross story came during a Women's World Title #1 contendership battle royal on November 6, though, as the former MITB holder put in what must comfortably sit as the worst display of her entire career.
Caught between two monsters in Nia Jax and Raquel Rodriguez, the hypnotised (?) performer became the human punchline to another dreadful attempt at an in-ring joke from 'Papa H', getting chucked out of the match by the powerhouses only a few seconds in.
And how did CrAzY Nikki react? By continuing to stare out into the audience and eventually through Wade Barrett's skull like nothing had even happened.
