THIS Is The One Man Who Can Save WWE

Daniel Bryan TLC 2019

WWE has the resources and the requirement to offer Daniel Bryan a lifetime contract in an influential management capacity. They should do this. They should pinpoint Daniel Bryan as the greatest wrestling mind in the entire system and entrust him to shape the future vision of the company.

Daniel Bryan is a master wrestling technician and all-time great sports entertainer. His matches get over to everybody; the discerning hardcore set and the young children in the audience alike. He has the carefree confidence and genius political and creative ability to do his own work and get that work over. He is so fantastic at laying out matches that he convinced the world that Kofi Kingston was true World Champion material and the Fiend's in-ring work was even remotely plausible. He can do mandatory broad scripted WWE comedy, very well, and is a master at the old, timeless essence of the wrestling promo: he balances the credentials of both himself and his opponent so deftly that it never feels contrived. His big matches feel like real events.

He has a keen eye for a story and the talent that will get over by its last chapter; it is no coincidence that WWE's most critically acclaimed development of modern times - KofiMania - was very much shaped his creative control. Bryan has worked within the WWE system for a decade, but is impervious to its bubble.
