3. The New "Immortal" Order
What an absolute disastrous clusterf#$% this became. The nWo, TNA style began its inception at the 2010 Bound for Glory, with Jeff Hardy turning heel and aligning with Hogan and Bischoff to form a stable of wrestlers whom were deemed immortal in their own eyes. They were everything that was right about the new IMPACT world order of wrestling. That entire sentence I constructed for the purposes of introducing this point I am trying to make here is
exactly what I am talking about. There was absolutely no doubt to anyone with an IQ above 50 that this was nothing more than an attempt to relive the glory days of WCW circa 96-98. Now although
maybe it had a little potential, it all hinged on the success of one Jeff Hardy successfully turning heel. And how did that turn out? The whole thing became a total farce as their "chosen one" had destroyed whatever momentum they had going for em in one 90 second debacle. They had no go to guy and it effectively rang the bell on Immortal. It didn't help matters when management made the dubious decision of getting rid of EV2, the only stable strong enough to take them on face to face. And with that (among other things), the essential core of what actually made this stable "Immortal" was gone. After Jeff Hardy decided to pull his best impression of a douchebag and then the whole Matt Hardy issue, this team became I guess what you would call a faction of "lesser known" immortals like Gunner, Murphy and Rob Terry, eventually becoming just another in the history of what is the new TNA. Or so we thought. FOR LIFE!
