Result: Rex wins by split judge decision (15:00).

Rating: Well, at least this was something completely different, even if it was tough to get too invested in a new title and champion with the company's uncertain future.

Unfortunately the round-based format isn't a particularly interesting gimmick apart from the tension of announcing the scores in-between rounds, and of course, for the match to act as a full demonstration of the gimmick, we had to sit through three five-minute rounds. The wrestling just wasn't interesting enough to engage for that long.

The lights going out and the two having to wrestle in almost no light for a couple of minutes kinda killed the momentum, too, though it did result in a hilarious "Pay your light bill!" chant (and the biggest pop of the night when the lights came back on).

And the judges really picked Rex? Absolutely ridiculous.
