TNA Exclusive Interview With Superstar Rob Terry

I arrive ahead of time to the Parramatta RSL, located within the confines of suburbia just west of the world renowned and iconic city of Sydney in anticipation for the latest wrestling extravaganza by one of Australia€™s premier Sports Entertainment brands, the AWF (Australasian Wrestling Federation). Renowned for not only featuring the crème of the crop when it comes to the local talent but also showcasing some of the biggest names from around the world, this event will feature the talents of former TNA Television (then Global Championship) Champion and current member of the Menagerie, Rob Terry. With appearances booked on either side of the continent and a rather hectic schedule in between, I was fortunate enough to get the chance to sit down with the Freak and a local crowd favourite here in Australia, the yellow and black clad Luchador by the name of Bee Boy, for an exclusive interview with them both and their thoughts on all things wrestling. Welcome to Australia Rob Terry, how have you been enjoying our beloved land down under so far?ROB TERRY: Well first off, thank you for having me. This is actually my first time to Australia and I am just having the best time so far, it€™s great. Rob, you have performed in several markets around the globe, most notably in the United States and Japan, how would you compare the different styles to what we have here in Australia?ROB TERRY: Well, to be perfectly honest with you, I really didn€™t change my style a whole bunch. I really brought the American style if you like, over to Japan and also to Australia. But the good thing about it was that I was able to see the different styles and what they did and that gave me the opportunity to add or €œtweak€ my style and incorporate them into my repertoire. Bee Boy, thank you for your time. Do you think Australia has something unique to offer to the world in comparison to these markets, as well as say England, Canada and Mexico?BEE BOY: I really do. Similar to America, we have a combination, a contrast of all styles. But I think we take it to the next level, so to speak. With the current focus on Australian wrestling with both Tenille Dashwood (Emma) and Matt Silva (Buddy Murphy) debuting in the WWE in recent times, could we see an Aussie invasion in TNA anytime soon?ROB TERRY: I would love to see that, I really would. I think right now there is a place for that. We don€™t really have anyone from here at this time but I would love to see an Australian in TNA. Bee Boy, do you think TNA could benefit from an influx of Australian talent?BEE BOY: I believe so. Any variety of anything is a good thing. And it would be great for Australian wrestling as a whole. We would have America, England, Japan, all eyes would be focused on Australian wrestling if given the opportunity. Speaking of TNA Rob, with the continuing popularity of ROH and the emergence of Global Force, is there room for all of these wrestling federations and will we see a more focused battle as to who becomes the proverbial top number two promotion?ROB TERRY: I really don€™t know. My focus is only on TNA. I€™m just really making sure that I can do everything I can to do the best that I can for the product. I am just solely focused on Impact Wrestling.

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life???? All demos, no albums ;)
