TNA Impact Wrestling: 5 Candidates For New Main Event Mafia

2. Kurt Angle

kurt angle wwe He is the next TNA Hall of Famer, the only Olympic gold medalist in wrestling history, a former TNA X Division Champion, two-time Tag Team Champion and five time World Heavyweight Champion€“his name is Kurt Angle. Running through those accolades wasn't even necessary as any professional wrestling fan knows and respects the legacy of Kurt Angle. Angle is a top candidate in anything involving professional wrestling, having put on countless of spectacular matches and feuds against the likes of Triple H, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Samoa Joe, Desmond Wolfe, AJ Styles and others. Angle was the head honcho of the original Main Event Mafia for a while before he lost his leadership as part of a match against "The Icon" Sting. In the Mafia, Angle developed more of a serious heel personality, doing whatever he had to do to teach the younger generation of wrestlers respect. Angle has been feuding with the Aces and Eights for months, ever since the brotherhood of bikers took him out October of last year. During his time fighting the faction now lead by Bully Ray, he has amounted quite the winning record against them, defeating Devon, Doc and Mr. Anderson. Like James Storm, he is also not involved in the BFG Series after the Aces and 8s more or less cost him his match against AJ Styles this Thursday on Impact. This only gives Angle more of a reason to go after Aces and Eights and what better way to kick off the Main Event Mafia's reincarnation than with one of the best wrestlers in history?
