TNA Impact Wrestling: 7 Reactions To This Week's Show

5. Joseph Parks Has His Decision Made For Him

http://youtu.be/lI4oyQZqTdw We return to the ring with Joseph Parks holding his notebook, and stating that he has spent a long time deliberating over who his first opponent on Impact should be. Before we learn of his challenge (which of course we were waiting on with baited breath), the cut-price Zach Ryder, otherwise known as Robbie E, comes out to insult Parks and the United Kingdom in general, which does little to endear his Welsh tag-team partner Robbie T. It was a bit ironic of Robbie to question Parks' wrestling ability considering how his only asset the past few years has been to make everybody he faces look pretty dominant in the ring. A match between the two is quickly agreed upon, and Parks begins to hit some hip tosses and arm drags, which actually look quite intriguing when they are employed by a man of his size. However, he often becomes over-excited, which allows Robbie E to take control, until the Jersey native gets overzealous himself and damages his crotch on the turnbuckle. Parks then begins to act like a man possessed, or possibly a man with split personalities (for all long-term fans of TNA that makes sense) as he begins to beat on his perma-tanned opponent. It is actually quite endearing to see the passionate and loveable lawyer employ moves that are not often used by Abyss, and he won with a big splash off of the second rope. Cue wild celebrations from Parks with the audience, and expect his good run to continue until he makes his first big scalp, and then we'll see the longevity of this character tested, with the Monster waiting in the wings.
