Christopher Daniels Vs. Magnus
http://youtu.be/6a54L5Y7YEU The first two competitors in the World Championship tournament make their way to the ring, with the ever so cocky Christopher Daniels and his lackey Kazarian first out, before the crowd goes absolutely crazy for the arrival of the English gladiator Magnus. The match begins, with every shot that Magnus gets in on Daniels met with great cheer from the home crowd, and he makes sure that Daniels' face becomes very well acquainted with the top turnbuckles. However the match is then turned on its head due to the interference of Kazarian, who guillotines Magnus on the top rope from the outside, which is followed by a flawless STO from Daniels. Daniels is able to take control of the pace of the match, and any time Magnus tries to build his own momentum, the presence of Kazarian on the outside always makes itself known. However, he is only allowed to get away with so much, as after a failed attempt at the Best Moonsault Ever, Magnus regains control, and Kazarian tries to distract the Brit again. His reward is a smack in the face and the referee ejecting him from ringside. Magnus throws Kazarian's manager license into the crowd, and both Daniels and Kazarian are absolutely incredulous over the decision. Magnus and Daniels then have some fast-paced back-and-forth action that culminates in a wicked clothesine by Magnus that sends Daniels hard onto the canvas. Magnus then feeds on the positive reaction from the crowd, and after connecting with a sit-down driver on Daniels, he climbs to the top rope and connects with a pin-point precision elbow drop from the top rope to pin Daniels and pick up an impressive victory. You get the sense that this match was somewhat hindered by time constraints, but they kept the action quick to keep the crowd happy and entertained. Only time will tell if that victory was enough to impress Hogan into making Magnus the next challenger to Jeff Hardy. WINNER: MAGNUS
