TNA's 10 Worst WWE Castoffs

7. Matt Hardy

Currently, Matt Hardy is redeeming himself in terms of his TNA legacy, but man was his first run embarrassingly awful. The older Hardy brother was clearly troubled during his last few months in WWE. It seemed you couldn't go a week without hearing some sort of trouble he was in. It was clear the man needed help. After eventually parting ways with his longtime employer, the best thing for him would have been to stay away from wrestling for awhile and deal with his issues. Of course, that didn€™t happen. TNA scooped him right up! For even the most die hard Hardy Boyz fans, they had to know something was wrong. Matt showed up in TNA looking really out of shape. He lost his first match in, and his promos lacked any sort of coherence. A Hardy Boyz reunion would have been big for the company just a couple years earlier, but when it it did happen, it was completely forgettable. They were both heels, and not very good ones. Matt's troubles continued in TNA, and actually got worse. He got a DUI, was let go and didn't show up in the company again until four years later. While he can be an asset to the company these days, his 2010 run was a sad one to watch.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
