TNA's Ace Austin On NXT Appearance: "It's Inevitable. The Time's Gonna Come" (TNA News)

"When TNA’s ready to put their best foot forward, I’m the pillar"

One of the hottest stars in TNA these days, we recently had the pleasure of grabbing some time with Ace Austin to discuss a wide variety of topics - including what Ace called an "inevitable" appearance from him in NXT.

Ace has recently joined forces with long-time rivals the Rascalz, with Austin, Zachary Wentz, and Trey Miguel set to face NXT's Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, and Tyriek Igwe at TNA Sacrifice this Friday. And while Wentz and Miguel have appeared in NXT, and Lee, Dupont, and Igwe have turned up in TNA, we've yet to see Ace Austin pop up in NXT.

When discussing the TNA/NXT crossover with Ace Austin, the former three-time TNA X Division Champion was extremely confident that he'd appear in NXT at some point down the line, noting how it's "important not to bring your best guns out first".

As Ace put it:

"I would say it’s more than a chance. I would say, what’s the word, on the tip of my tongue, I would say it’s inevitable. If you want the best from TNA, then you can’t look any further than me, but it’s also important not to bring your best guns out first. The time’s gonna come, and especially with Wes Lee jumping over to us and starting trouble with me. That’s just really not a good idea on his part because I don’t think he wants me to go over there and embarrass him, because that would not be good for him and his brand."

On the working relationship between TNA and NXT, Austin added:

"I think this whole partnership thing has been so beautiful, and 2025 is a really exciting year. And I think that, like I said, when TNA’s ready to put their best foot forward, I’m the pillar, I’m the pole. I’m ready to do it."

If Ace was indeed to make an NXT appearance as part of this ongoing rivalry with Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, and Tyriek Igwe, tomorrow's NXT Roadblock special marks the final chance to do so before the six-man match at TNA Sacrifice later this week.

Of course, Ace Austin could always cross the line later in the year once this rivalry is done and dusted, with the 28-year-old certainly correct in labelling himself one of TNA's "best guns".

TNA Sacrifice 2025

While TNA's Moose and the Hardys are due to compete at NXT Roadblock - Moose facing NXT Champion Oba Femi, Matt and Jeff defending the TNA Tag Team Titles against Fraxiom - the wider focus for TNA is Sacrifice this coming Friday.

As mentioned, TNA Sacrifice will see Ace Austin teaming with Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel to face Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, and Triek Igwe, and that six-man is part of quite the impressive card. We've got Jeff Hardy going after Moose's X Division Title in a ladder match, TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich defending against NXT's Cora Jade, Sami Callihan and Mance Warner are set for a street fight, Mustafa Ali and Mike Santana could well steal the show in singles action, TNA World Champion Joe Hendry headlines a ten-man steel cage match, and Tessa Blancard faces Lei Ying, fka Xia Li.

Up next for TNA following Sacrifice is the annual Unbreakable special, which takes place the Thursday before WrestleMania Weekend.
