Panda Energy is reportedly worth $5 billion.

This is the company that was founded by Dixie Carter’s parents. For years, they helped fund TNA, always taking a loss on the investment in hopes that somehow things would turn around. They gave Dixie a ton of money to bring in one big star after the next, as well as helping pay for the experiment of airing Impact live from different arenas across the country.

Finally, after losing money year after year on the project, they pulled the plug. We’re not quite sure when, but they left Dixie on her own. Perhaps she can get mom and pop to step in once more and help her out. Maybe they were the mysterious third party who fronted the money to keep TNA afloat for this next set up tapings?

After all, maybe they talk a tough game, but when they realize that their daughter’s passion may really go under, they’ll step in and give her a nice allowance to keep the project alive. In that case, things will continue to be business as usual in TNA...and well, with business not being good, that’s probably not the ideal situation.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
