Having been fortunate to grab some time with TNA World Champion Moose yesterday ahead of TNA Slammiversary, one particular topic that came up was Joe Hendry.

Of course, not only is the charismatic Scot making waves and going viral at every turn these days, but he's someone who Moose has had several battles with and is someone who'll be challenging for the TNA World Title in a six-way elimination match at Slammiversary on 20 July.

When asked whether, despite their battles, he believes in Joe Hendy, Moose had plenty of praise for the Local Hero.

"I think Joe Hendry's on the cusp of being the next John Cena. I know he's worked his butt off, he's worked his ass off. Just his story, just his journey shows you hard work pays off. There's a lot of people that don't know all the work Joe Hendry put in, all the questions he asked, him cornering some of the older guys in the locker room, asking them questions on how to be better, how to get better. I'm just happy that all those questions and all that hard work and everything he's done to get to the position he is, is actually paying off. To answer your question, I do believe in Joe Hendry, but I'm still gonna kick his ass [at TNA Slammiversary]"

Joe Hendy is just one of five men looking to dethrone Moose as TNA World Champion at Slammiversary in nine days, with Josh Alexander, Nic Nemeth, Steve Maclin, and Frankie Kazarian all also involved in that six-way contest.

Other topics discussed in this interview with Moose include plenty of Slammiversary talk, the TNA/NXT relationship and wanting to face NXT North American Champion Oba Femi, the Motor City Machine Guns' TNA departure, whether WWE or AEW is in his future, and whether there's a chance that TNA could return to the UK with a PPV.
