For anybody still doubting AEW's ability to deliver CM Punk on tonight's episode of Rampage, company founder and president Tony Khan has all but confirmed the former WWE Champion will be on the show.

Khan said the following while appearing on SiriusXM's Busted Open Radio this morning, acknowledging what the fans want from the much-hyped show while promising they won't be disappointed (h/t WrestlingNews.co for the transcription):-

“It’s great to be able to have those possibilities and not to have everything spoiled for you. But on the other hand, I think everybody has a pretty good idea what to expect tonight. I don’t like to let people down. I have no plans to disappoint anybody tonight. I think people are gonna be very happy with what they see. They’ve been waiting to see this for a long time."

Yesterday saw Khan hit Twitter to hype the "most anticipated announcement in AEW history" on tonight's Rampage show.

Khan went on, outlining what tonight could mean for his company:-

"Finally, at The First Dance, I think we’re gonna satisfy a lot of people and make a lot and make a lot of wrestling fans really happy. And we’re gonna make some new fans. They’re gonna be people who are gonna read about what happened tonight and they’re gonna want to check out AEW and that is exactly the reaction we’re looking for.”

Your doubt should be erased by now. If it isn't, there are only a few more hours to go before the show hits the airwaves.

Punk's AEW debut will be the first time he has appeared on a traditional wrestling show since January 2014, when he competed at that year's WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
