Tony Khan's Big Plans For Ring Of Honor REVEALED!

Here's what Tony Khan reportedly has up his sleeve for ROH after his buyout.

Tony Khan's much-hyped "huge announcement" came in the opening segment of last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, during which the company president revealed that he had purchased Ring of Honor from Sinclair Broadcasting Group.

This immediately threw up a number of big, important questions that the AEW founder didn't have time to answer on television - including that of his plans for his influential new brand.

Fortunately, Bodyslam.net's Cassidy Haynes is here to help. He reports that while the figure Khan paid to purchase ROH remains unconfirmed, sources have indicated that current plans are for the brand to serve as something of a "developmental territory" for AEW. This will involve talent considered part of AEW's "main roster" being used in ROH from time to time.

That AEW currently has too many wrestlers for its current television time is a common conversation point - and Khan has shown no signs of slowing down in terms of roster growth in 2022. The ROH buyout theoretically alleviates this, though whether or not Khan will retain ROH's Sinclair syndication (and weekly show) remains unclear.

YouTube shows Dark and Dark: Elevation effectively serve as AEW's developmental series at the moment, with both relying heavily on enhancement matches.
