At one time one of the hottest women on television, Tammy Lynn Sytch (better known as Sunny) became the Most Downloaded Woman on the Internet and a breakout star who overshadowed any wrestler she managed. Make no mistake, there was no hotter woman in the 1990s than Sunny. Unfortunately, her personal issues probably kept her from becoming an even bigger star. At only 20 years old, Sytch signed with Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain Wrestling, managing boyfriend Chris Candido and showing a talent for getting people to hate her. Playing a spoiled rich girl, Sytch and Candido became a main event heel pairing and got the call from the WWF in 1995. Debuting as evil fitness instructors, Sytch and Candido were rechristened "Sunny" and "Skip". Candido was a tremendously talented wrestler but it wasn't long before his manager stepped into the spotlight and became an even bigger star. She moved on to manage various tag teams while simultaneously becoming the most downloaded woman in AOL history and winning Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Manager of the Year award in 1996. In the late 1990s, Sunny followed Candido to ECW and WCW but rumors of substance abuse began to follow her around. Rumors that she was found passed out in the ECW locker room fueled the stories and soon enough she was seen as unemployable. Sunny had only a few years in the spotlight but was one of the most effective female heel managers of all-time. She had a hotness that made men want to look at her but a personality that made them boo. It could be argued that she was the original WWF Diva due to her modeling success and willingness to show skin on WWF television. Her influence on the business is still being felt today and hopefully she can get her life together so she can return to the business that loved her.
