The Deadman didnt have time to worry about his brother as a confrontation with Shawn Michaels awaited him at Bad Blood. In the first ever Hell in a Cell match the DX member and Undertaker produced a classic that earned them a 5-star match award from Dave Meltzer. The Lord of Darkness signalled for a Tombstone when the arena was plunged into darkness. Suddenly, Kanes music hit and flames lit up the arena. The monster ripped the door off and confronted his brother. Kane hit Undertaker with his own Tombstone and Michaels took advantage to get the pin. The crowd sat silent and Kane had already cemented himself as a main-event level wrestler. It was an exceptional match with a brilliant debut.
