The Rock's 14 Greatest Moments Since His 2011 Return
11. A Rattlesnake Reunion
As host of Wrestlemania 27 in Atlanta, Rock opened the show and appeared in a few backstage segments before the main event, this one being the most notable. After initially bumping into Eve Torres, Rock claimed he was so electrifying that he could create a Wrestlemania moment with anyone, including the next person to bump into him. Cue some fun with Mae Young, before his old foe in Stone Cold Steve Austin showed up. Ten years prior, Rock and Austin headlined Wrestlemania 17, the second of three spectacular matches between the old rivals on the grandest stage. Their last battle at Wrestlemania 19 culminated in what proved to be Stone Cold's last match in the company. It seemed only fitting that they would cross paths at some point or another in Atlanta, and though their interaction on this occasion was short but sweet, it sent many a pulse racing and it arguably created the biggest crowd pop of the entire evening. They exchanged some words about kicking ass that night, shook hands, and parted like ships passing in the night. It was great. We'll probably never get to see them lock horns again, but it certainly had fans dreaming again of one more match between the two.
