The Rock's 14 Greatest Moments Since His 2011 Return

10. Cena Tastes Rock Bottom For The First Time

The Wrestlemania 27 main event between John Cena and The Miz will go down in history for a couple of reasons. Unfortunately, the first reason is that it was arguably the most un-inspiring Wrestlemania main event in the history of the show. It just felt like it never got going, despite the intriguing build-up. There was virtually no flow or rhythm to the bout which ultimately felt more like a standard Raw or Smackdown contest. The first ending was also complete rubbish, as both men were counted out after a brawl on the outside. Thankfully the events after the restart were much more memorable; after the awful double count-out scenario, guest-host Rock came out to restart the match. A few moments later, John Cena walked right into a Rock Bottom. This was a direct reply to Cena's AA earlier that week on Raw in what was their first physical altercation since their rivalry had begun. The Miz went on to retain his WWE title in the aftermath, though he then fell foul of an attack by The Rock as well, culminating with a People's Elbow to bring the proceedings of an underwhelming Wrestlemania to a close. Certainly not the greatest 'Mania ever, though it did serve as a culmination of an important first chapter in the Cena/Rock rivalry.
