Top WWE Star Jumps From Raw To SmackDown

Remember that Jey Uso brand swap story? WWE just wrapped it up on SmackDown.

None other than Kevin Owens jumped from Raw to SmackDown as makeweight for Jey Uso on Friday's episode.

Regular viewers will recall then-default authority figure Adam Pearce revealing that SmackDown would get suitable compensation for Uso's prior leap to the flagship. WWE eventually put a bow on that story by having brand new SmackDown GM Nick Aldis reveal that KO is his first signing.

Owens emerged after Dominik Mysterio claimed he'd smack the show's new draft pick right in the mouth. That didn't happen. Instead, 'Dirty Dom' ate a Stunner from Kev before the new SmackDown man shook hands with Aldis in-ring.

It's back to the singles hunt for Owens then.

He'd previously been in the tag-team division for most of 2023 alongside on/off pal Sami Zayn. Together, the pair made history by winning the Undisputed Tag belts in the main event of WrestleMania 39's opening night, but both went on to drop the titles to Judgment Day at Payback in September; Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso have since bagged the gold themselves.

SmackDown head boy Roman Reigns was less-than-thrilled to see KO back on his patch.
